TIME FOR A SMILE

A burglar broke into a minister’s house and told the pastor, “One move and you’re dead. I’m looking for money.”
The pastor replied, “Hang on, let me get a light and I’ll help you.”

A young boy came to Sunday School late.
His teacher knew that he was usually very prompt and asked him if anything was wrong.
The boy replied no, that he was going fishing but his dad told him that he needed to go to church.
The teacher was very impressed and asked the boy if his dad had explained to him why it was more important to go to church than to go fishing?
The boy replied, “Yes he did. Dad said he didn’t have enough bait for both of us.”

A newscaster interrupted scheduled programming to announce the outcome of a political election. “More on candidates at 10 P.M.,” he said.
Ten-year-old Ashley looked at her grandfather in disbelief. “I didn’t know they could call politicians ‘morons’ on national television!” she remarked.

A grandfather bought a hobby horse by mail order as a birthday present for his granddaughter.
The toy arrived in 189 pieces. The instructions said that it could be put together in an hour however it took the man two days to assemble the toy.
Finally, when it was all put together, he wrote a check, cut it into 189 pieces and mailed it off to the company.

* Family Bible Classes – 9:30am
* The Adult Class (meeting in the auditorium) will be taught by Jason Vigil for the next three weeks. He will start into a study of the book of Acts — this first week, a look at Acts 1, will examine the birth of the church. The class will see the purpose of the church and that a proper view of how a church and its people should function starts with a correct interpretation of the book of Acts and Pentecost.

* Morning Worship – 10:45am
* We welcome to the pulpit Pete Mothershead, originator of the Balanced Evangelism Seminar. Pete comes from Santa Clarita, California, a veteran Regular Baptist pastor who has a burden for equipping believers for evangelism. He has authored several books and tracts and over the span of forty years developed his Balanced Evangelism material.

* Evening Celebration – 6:00pm
* This Sunday evening we will fellowship together around the Lord’s Table. Pastor Harriman will bring the message,
