Friends of Faith Baptist of North Chili,
We are in the middle of another cold snap (-3 degrees when I went to bed last night) – BRRR. However, we are also one day closer to spring, plus I notice that when I wake up it’s light out earlier and stays light later. Hallelujah!
To quote from the writer of Hebrews, “strengthen the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees” (Heb. 12:12). No need for us to be discouraged, I suspect that the original readers of the NT faced suffering worse than our cold temperatures. I trust that you would avoid, as the same writer cautioned his readers, “any root of bitterness springing up.” Whether it is the chastening hand of God, intrusive persecution from unbelievers, or the weakness of our own flesh, we must stay focused. As it says in Hebrews 12:14, “Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord.” Food for thought!

Time for a smile: Has this ever happened to you?
Somebody writes, “I was at the checkout of a K-Mart. The clerk rang up $46.64 charge. I gave her a fifty dollar bill. She gave me back $46.64. I gave it back to her and told her that she had made a mistake in MY favor and gave her the money back.
She became indignant and informed me she was educated and knew what she was doing, and returned the money again. I gave her the money back again…same scenario. I departed the store with the $46.64.”
Somebody else tells this story: “I walked into a Mickey D’s with a buy-one-get-one-free coupon for a sandwich. I handed it to the girl and she looked over at a little chalkboard that said ‘buy one-get one free.’ ‘They’re already buy-one-get-one-free,’she said, ‘so I guess they’re both free’ She handed me my free sandwiches and I walked out the door.”

Family Bible Classes – 9:30am
Our guest, Craig Golden (Representative for the Empire State Fellowship of Regular Baptist Churches), will be teaching the auditorium Bible class. During this hour he will be presenting the fellowship ministry by way of a handout. He calls it “Jeopardy.”
Morning Worship Service – 10:45am
The message, brought by ESF Representative, Craig Golden will be from II Peter 1:5-11. The title of this message is “A Never-Fall Guarantee.”
Evening Celebration – 6:00pm
Our evening celebration will bring to a conclusion this day with a focus on the Empire State Fellowship. Brother Craig Golden will bring the message from Psalm 145:1-4, titled “A Psalm of Praise.”
